SemperPower is proud to present its first large-scale energy project in the Netherlands: Project Star in Terneuzen. This energy storage system has been operational since November 2021.
Together with local actors
The 10MW/10MWh energy storage system in Terneuzen was initiated in collaboration with Windpark Koegorspolder, Yara Sluiskil and the Terneuzen Municipal Authority. The financing partners for this project are Return Energy and Triodos Bank. Alfen acted as project supplier and installer. SemperPower looks after management and business operations for the project, which has been operational since November 2021.
Strength through strategic collaboration
SemperPower enjoys a strong position to achieve further growth thanks to the strategic collaboration agreed with Stecc Group, confirmed by means of an investment of several million euros. Stecc Group has an impressive network and track record in building, growing and investing in businesses around energy transition, such as Sunrock, Vandebron, Harvest Waste and Soto Solar.
Our ode to the stars
“The centre of our universe is the sun. It brings us day and night, heat and cold, and thanks to this star there is life on Earth. We are at a point of no return at which renewable energy sources are essential. Our analogy is an ode to all the stars in our universe. All this is to show the urgency and magnitude of the energy transition; storage is the key.”
